Opinion: What Cryptocurrencies Have The Best Staking Rewards?
Many cryptocurrencies offer different % yields for staking rewards. However, there are many factors to consider besides yield when selecting the BEST coins for staking. This is because things like time and project legitimacy play a big factor in accumulating rewards. If the project doesn’t exist in the future you can’t accumulate rewards or even worse you may become stuck with coins that have become worthless.
Coins that are high yielding will create hyperinflation that will devalue the coin quickly as the market struggles to absorb newly minted coins that enter the market. This makes the coin inherently unstable
Coins that have no actual product or use-case will not exist in the future. This is why time and project longevity are so important. If you are going to stake your coins you want the coins to not fade into the abyss in time.
Security is also important. Staking on your own terms requires a decent amount of technical capacity, staking in a pool online requires you to trust your coins in anonymous peoples hands that can vanish at any moment.
Thankfully, many exchanges are beginning to offer staking services for their supported coins which adds a layer of security/protection to users looking to gain staking rewards. Heres an example of some of the coins that can now be staked on Binance Exchange:
  • Algorand (16%-20%)
  • KAVA (14%-16%)
  • LOOM (10%-12%)
  • TRON (7%-9%)
  • Tezos (6%-7%)
  • VeChain (3%-5%)
  • Ontology (3%-5%)
  • Stellar (2%-4%)
  • NEO (1%-3%)
This is just a few of the many coins they have there but at first glance it is kind of funny when thinking about the question again. This is because the best projects on here for staking are totally subjective and based on your own risk management strategies.
Personally for me the projects lower on the list (Tezos, Vechain, Ontology, Stellar, and NEO) are all more solid projects than those above and will more likely be around a year from now. If I was putting my money away and not looking at it for a long time then it would be there. This is because of everything from the projects legitimacy to my perceived price stability of the projects.
Others may look at the list and think the best projects are Algorand, KAVA, LOOM and Tron, which may be true, depending on your market strategies. If I was watching my account everyday and so did not have to worry as much about coin longevity and stability then I may put my money there.
